Alison Moyet Covers Dusty Springfield

Alison Moyet has recorded the classic Dusty Springfield song "I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself" for a forthcoming Dusty Springfield tribute album.

Alison recorded her version with Martin Terefe, who has previously has produced for a-Ha, James Morrison and KT Tunstall. The track has been been described by Alison as having both "force and fragile edges".

As previously mentioned, Alison Moyet has been invited by legendary songwriter Michel LeGrand (composer of film scores such as Yentl, The Thomas Crown Affair and The Umbrellas of Cherbourg) to be the voice of some rare UK live performances during February 2009.

Erasure 'Total Pop! The First 40 Hits'

To be released on the 23rd February 2009 is Total Pop! The First 40 Hits - a collection of Erasure's first 40 hits.

Featuring all the hit singles from the band's five Number 1 albums and including 17 Top 10 singles, the album also contains a brand new remix by Jeremy Wheatley of the 1994 classic 'Always' which will feature on 'Pop! Remixed', out on 9th February 2009.

As well as a double CD package and download, Total Pop! will also be released as a special four-disc deluxe edition which includes Pop! (remastered since its original release), Pop2!, a live disc and a DVD featuring classic BBC performances from 1986è2005, ranging from Sometimes on Top of the Pops in 1986 to Ship Of Fools on Wogan to an appearance on Later... With Jools Holland.
